The Baby Boomers have a divorce rate triple that of their parents. Triple!The long-term familial damage of divorce and the unforeseen consequences for multiple succeeding generations is so selfish, short-sigted, me-me-me Baby Boomer that it makes me want to throw up at the local police department "meeting point" where Mom drops me off to be picked up by Dad.
Divorce, a means of dissolving lifelong commitments, was never employed by any other culture or generation to the extent that the American Baby Boomer used it. Now there's girls in high school popping RU-486 because Baby Boomers made it socially acceptable to hit the do-over button -- even on an institution defended politically as "sacred" and exclusively crucial to our Judeo-Christian virtues.

I'm not sure which is worse—failing to honor a lifelong commitment or refusing to make one for fear of failing. From my vantage point, it seems like your generation’s failure to place high value on the stabilizing influences to the family of monogamy and the legal commitment of marriage have produced a society of people who are more likely to live like "Sex in the City" than "Leave It to Beaver."

The boomers are popping Viagra and chasing the young girls. Ever notice how boomers looooooove television and collecting used movies? Gen-x turned television off a long time ago. My boomer relatives ask me if I am ok when I go to my car and listen to my satellite radio or music on my iPhone all night. I despise television like a lot of Gen-Xers do!!! Get back to me when the Saints are playing!!!! I don't watch CSI or none of that stuff!!! We love our gadgets baby boomers. They make handy tools
to ignore you you boomers (we feel a great sense of elation when we can go to the bathroom and text a friend and post a comment to a chatroom or a blog and you boomers don't even know Jack about it) and the fact that you boomers trying to micromanage us and push your antiquated value system on us really irks the sh*t out of us. Thank for being greedy selfish and self-aggrandizing and leaving the planet in a mess though!!! (rolling my eyes)
